Bras Basah Complex is a mixed-use development located beside National Library along North Bridge Road. The development has a good mix of both commercial and residential units, constructed for the purpose as a book centre. The complex was completed in 1980 that comprising of two 25-storey blocks with ground to 5th level for shops and the rest as residential living.The complex cost a total of S$15.2 million to build.
The Bras Basah Complex today is known “City of Books” and has a range of shops such as watchmakers, art and craft material, music instruments and reading materials.
